Backing Up on the PREMIER Enterprise System (SQL)

We recommend backing up data directly on the SQL server side. SQL databases can be backed up either directly in the SQL data tool "SQL Server Management Studio," which has built-in support for backups.

In the Management Studio, we navigate to "Management - Maintenance Plans" at the bottom, then on the right, we right-click to bring up the menu and select "Maintenance Plans Wizard," where we choose and set which databases will be backed up, where, and when.

Below are the basic scripts for backing up SQL data available for download. The scripts are intended for IT administrators and must be modified and tailored to the needs of the server or network. The batch file can then be loaded into the task scheduler on the Windows server.
