Settings on the client PC

Users need to ensure that a network drive, e.g., "P:\", is automatically connected when they log in, where the Premier folder will be available. A shortcut from "P:\Premier\premier.exe", which can be placed on the client's desktop, will ensure the program is launched. It is not advisable to use and run the program from the UNC path on client stations, e.g., \\server\ekonom\premier\premier.exe. Similarly, it is not suitable to map the server folder Premier directly, as the user will be launching, for example, P:\premier.exe. It is necessary to map the parent folder for proper operation, in our case \Ekonom\.

If all users who will be using PREMIER are part of a common domain, then the work of the IT administrator is much easier. It will be sufficient to set permissions for the given group and allow read and write access. If the domain is not used on the network, it is advisable to create the same login user accounts on the server as those on all user computers that will run PREMIER. In such a case, the user must have both a username and a password. Accounts without passwords are not supported.

  • If a problem occurs when launching the program after updating to version X8, displaying the error messages below on the screen.

This is probably caused by incorrectly set trust between your server and PC. How to properly set trust is described below.

If we run IS PREMIER within the internal network, this dialog will likely appear immediately after starting the program.

It is necessary to allow trust between the computer and the server. Control panels - Internet options - Security tab

We also do not recommend using IS PREMIER, which is shared from Linux servers.
